Tim has the most twisted fun writing about the antics of crazy Floridians. His wit is unrivaled. His characters are quirky and some very easy to dislike. When they get their just punishment, you don’t feel sorry for their well deserved demise.

Such a treasure. We learn about life in the 1400’s in China, the roles of women in various cultural levels, the medicine and eastern treatments… truly fascinating.

I appreciate the British setting for this second Cormoran Strike brutal murder mystery of a tell all writer, Owen Quine. I like both Strike and Robin his assistant. I also like vocabulary that is so challenging.

Saw the series…Cormoran Strike , pi, investigates the super model, Lula Landry’s suicide. I liked Robin and the other characters. Want to read more.

Unlike the court/legal works, this is a story of winning football players, their coach.

Malala, the 15 year old girl who spoke out against the Taliban’s restrictions against women and education while living in Mingora, Pakistan, was shot in the head. She recovered in England. Given the Nobel Peace Prize, this memoir tells of her life as a college student, her challenges with anxiety, panic attacks and PTSD. The loss of her school in Afghanistan r/t our withdrawal, brings an emotional and political slant on her story.

Sad, overweight, disfigured and overlooked, Ellen, helps out a blind stranger being robbed and her life improves with each act of bravery. This is a sweet book that has the happy endings for many of the characters. It made me happy!

Serge has amnesia. He is acting as Governor Marlon’s press secretary as they travel through Florida. The trip is more of a meet-the-people trip than a campaign. Book is laugh out loud, hilarious.

Not enough Serge in this book. Some hilarious entries, and the wit was there, but not as much as in some of the other books.
