Once again I felt completely sucked into the story and had to read book 2 immediately. Reading this on a foggy day had me glancing around for wolves and evil wizards. Loved getting to see more of Connor's perspective and his more simple, optimistic outlook on life. Loving the series so far

The little ghost was good. I liked that it rained in the story. It made it seem scarier.

The Perfect Hope

Such a satisfying ending to the series. Realistic twists and turns for the character, justifying ending for Hope's "smeazy" ex and sweet to see what happens with Lizzy. The enemies to friends in this book felt natural. Sometimes the trope can feel tired and overdone, easily fixed with a simple conversation that most real people would have had a long time ago. Hope and Ryder never felt stretched and their easy slide into interest hit all the right notes. The scene with the garden was a good chuckle. Ill reread this series many times I'm sure as it now has a permanent place on my bookshelf.

It was suspenseful but some situations were uncomfortable to read

notes from the blender

I chose this book because a local group wants it banned from Mentor High School. I was curious to find what made it so offensive or objectionable. It is about two teenagers, and the father of one character, Neilly, has left his family to marry another man. So it is the secondary story of a gay relationship that puts it on the "banned" list. A great young adult book about two teens who face change and discover new strengths to create a new family.

Dark Witch

This book gripped me from the first chapter. By starting in the past and immediately making your heart ache for the family from the start, I felt invested. Iona is a bit chatty (well done with the writing, her nervous chatter definitely comes through) but the story was well written and the bonds that unite the characters make you long for the same

Where Is The No. 2?

Local author, who spoke at our library, writes a fascinating history of the sinking of the Marquette & Bessemer No. 2. His bibliography is 7 pages long excluding the pages under “Work’s Cited “. I found it a well written and a very compelling book. I appreciated review of facts. I am not nautically trained and yet I could appreciate the details brought up in the challenges of hypothesizing the ship ‘s final resting place.
